Users can play online or by connecting to a local area network. Note: When you do this, you will want to disable Dynmap if you have it because generating the map at the same time as all those chunks will bring your server to a crawling <1 tps, or even lockup.Minecraft is an independent video game developed by Markus “ Notch” Person, which allow users to construct in a 3D generated world. The process is repeated until all chunks are loaded out from a central point you specified in the command until the radius is reached. This makes your ram jump a few gigs every time. Every so often (about 5 seconds) it clears memory and unloads the chunks it force loaded.
HOW TO HOST A MODDED MINECRAFT SERVER 1.7.10 ON DROPBOX GENERATOR
How it works is simple, it loads up chunks in a spiral forcing the generator to generate the data and store the files. But you can generate them just fine, using a plugin like WorldBorder which was designed for such things. You literally cannot load "every single chunk" at the same time it would crash the server within a few minutes, if not seconds. It takes days or even weeks of running to do this, of course. I've generated entire worlds that span 100,000 blocks in all directions from 0,0 coords. To load up every single chunk at least once so that they are all generated. I use this plugin to do exactly what the OP wants.
The answer the OP was looking for in in fact WorldBorder. So i did a little test, i made a world in 1.5.1įound a fortress, saw some wither dudes, then loaded up latest snapshot, and i saw them.ĭid Mojang put in a way to avoid having to load the chunks up in 1.6.3 in order to save them? If that is the case then this plugin wouldn't be needed : Unhandled exception executing command 'loadĪt .execute(PluginCommand.java:46)Īt .dispatch(SimpleCommandMap.java:19Īt 1_6_R3.CraftServer.dispatchCommand(CraftServeĪt 1_6_R3.PlayerConnection.handleCommand(PlayerConĪt 1_6_R3.PlayerConnection.chat(PlayerConnection.jĪt 1_6_R3.PlayerConnection.a(PlayerConnection.javaĪt 1_6_R3.Packet3Chat.handle(SourceFile:49)Īt 1_6_R3.NetworkManager.b(NetworkManager.java:296Īt 1_6_R3.PlayerConnection.e(PlayerConnection.javaĪt 1_6_R3.ServerConnection.b(SourceFile:37)Īt 1_6_R3.DedicatedServerConnection.b(SourceFile:3Īt 1_6_R3.MinecraftServer.t(MinecraftServer.java:5Īt 1_6_R3.DedicatedServer.t(DedicatedServer.java:2Īt 1_6_R3.MinecraftServer.s(MinecraftServer.java:4Īt 1_6_R3.n(MinecraftServer.javaĪt 1_6_R3.n(SourceFile:5Ĭaused by: : Not scheduled yetĪt .getTaskId(BukkitRunnable.java:129Īt .cancel(BukkitRunnable.java:18)Īt nl.(ChunkLoader.java:90)Īt nl.(ChunkLoader.java:36Īt .execute(PluginCommand.java:44)Ġ2:46:56 CONSOLE: Stopping the server. Also a bit strange, from what EVERYONE was saying you HAD to load up your chunks in 1.6.3 for the 1.7 to work. I want to just load up the chunks i already saved and load them into memory, that way 1.6.3 will properly save the structures, so when upgraded to 1.7 the fortress and witch huts would still work.Ĭode: 02:46:35 MoonLiteNite issued server command: /loadchunk stop But as I said, for me 3 other people our map size is close to 1gb and flying around to load everything up doesn't sound like too much fun for usįrom my understanding world border would generator NEW chunks, which is not what I want. And for small SP worlds people just go into creative and just fly every place. I guess most popular servers just assume all their players will cover any areas that want to be saved. The map size is about 950mbs currently.Īnd I am very shocked this hasn't been requested by anyone else.
My server is just for me and 3 other friends. Even if this takes many hours it is fine. I just want already all generated chunks to be loaded, at least once. Not all chunks have to be loaded at once. Right, i just want the chunks to be loaded by the server, even without a player within the 12*12 chunk area. Haha i am actually shocked people even looked at this post.
